Another WNY Kmart is closing - Buffalo News

Another local Kmart is closing – this time in Jamestown – as part of another wave of store shutdowns by Sears and Kmart.

The Kmart at 975 Fairmount Ave. W in Jamestown is one of 26 Sears and Kmart stores that the struggling retailer is closing as part of its latest round of closings that will shut down 21 Sears and 5 Kmarts nationwide.

The store is expected to close in late October, with a liquidation sale beginning around Aug. 15, Kmart's owner, Sears Holdings Corp. said.

Once the Jamestown store closes, the only remaining Kmarts in Western New York will be one on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo, along with stores in Wellsville and Bath.
